Description
Shot during a project week at my school. Walking inbetween the students is a colleague of mine. The two girls in the front are two students, Anneleen and Nele, working hard on their project. I messed around with this picture a lot: I cut off two thirds of the pic on the sides to keep this portion, because I like the contrast of Bavo walking around (constant movement there) and the girls really focused on the computer, really still. I also worked on the colours, because I wanted to give it a more 'timeless' feel. I don't know if that worked. Comments would be welcome for this one...

I think the colours that you've given it make it look very 1920s-1930s (?) the time when people used to hand tint black and white photos with skin colours etc. Yes, I think you've given it a much more timeless look than keeping the brighter colours that it probably had originally, but you could try other ways as well, just for fun - e.g. adding a bit more yellow / brown to make it a bit more like sepia tones, or even black and white with contrast played with.
